Wales debut for Couch

A huge congratulations to Conall Couch who won his 1st cap for Wales U18s against England U18s at Taunton on Sunday.

Conall on the rampage against England at Taunton RFC on Sunday.

Conall has been one of a core group of players who started tag-rugby for the Caerleon Under 5s and has come up all the way through the age grades to now play for the club's youth team. He developed an excellent pair of hands playing "street rugby" with his mates, was an ever-present for Caerleon before earning his first representative honours with Newport Schools U15s. Further success ensued with Dragons U16s and more recently the Dragons U18s team which won the U18s Regional Age Grade tournament at Ystrad Mynach in March 2022.

He is a fantastic player to coach, has great hands, a superb temperament, and an immense work rate which sees him doing the tight work as well as making inroads into opposition defences in the loose. Conall is an avid scholar of the game, wanting to understand and improve his game at every opportunity. We hope that his representative honours this year which include playing for Dragons U18s, Crawshays U18s and now Wales U18s are just the start! The whole club wish him all the best for the rest of the Wales U18s campaign!
