Today, Friday 20th October is Wear Red Day. This is an initiative by Show Racism the Red Card. Show Racism the Red Card is the UK’s leading anti-racism educational charity. It was established in January 1996, thanks in part to a donation by then Newcastle United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop.
Caerleon RFC have signed up to this as we strive to be an anti-racist and inclusive rugby club. Anti-racism means actively opposing racism by advocating for changes that promote racial equality in society.
Our entire Club, from U6’s to the First XV have been wearing red over the last week in the build up to today to show our support for this fantastic initiative #WRD2023
